Charity shop volunteering

As a Shop from Crisis volunteer, you’ll be welcomed into a fun, supportive and creative team where you’ll play your part in ending homelessness and make a difference in your local area. While you’re with us, you'll connect with customers, volunteers and staff from all walks of life.

We currently have 15 high street charity shops in bustling London neighbourhoods. Each shop showcases a range of clothing, vintage, accessories and homeware.

There’s something for everyone as a charity shop volunteer with Crisis, regardless of whether your thing is styling, steaming, sorting stock or serving customers. Day-to-day activities might include:

• chatting to customers and making them feel welcome
• sorting, pricing and presenting donations
• serving customers at the till and processing Gift Aid
• creating eye-catching window displays
• serving coffee in one of our four in-shop cafes
• creating social media content to promote the shop

Whether you can offer a couple of hours or a couple of days per week, your time volunteering will make a huge difference – you’ll help to make sure our shops can operate and raise the funds to support more people out of homelessness. We believe every volunteer brings something unique to the community, so we’ll always encourage you to find what you enjoy and build new skills.
