Quiz introduction
We have developed 2 quizzes on the topics of Health and Safety and customer service, which are skills needed in all areas of work. These quizzes are designed as a fun and informal introduction to the topics. By playing these quizzes, we hope you’ll have fun thinking about Health and Safety and Customer service in a new way.
Our quizzes are hosted on Kahoot. Below are some tips to help you get started quizzing!
Setting up a Kahoot account
1. Go to Kahoot.com. This site works on all digital devices (e.g. Smartphones, Laptops and Desktop computers)
2. Click on the green sign up box in the top right hand of the page
3. On the next page, click the personal account type icon.
Kahoot then requests some personal information. This is used to create your account. Information requested, includes:
- Username: this will be the name that appears on screen when you are completing quizzes. Your username will need to be 6 to 20 characters long and can include only letters, numbers or underscores.
- Email address: This will be used to send you access to quizzes and allow other users (in this instance, us, to find you on Kahoot)
- Password: This will make sure access to your Kahoot account is secure
- You are also given the option to sign up using an existing Google, Apple or Microsoft account. If you select this option, a dialog box will open and confirm that you have created a Kahoot account (Kahoot will automatically use the information stored by your other account).
- A pre-selected box will also appear, stating that you would like to receive Kahoot updates and offers, if you DO NOT want to receive these, un-tick the box BEFORE clicking submit.
4. After clicking submit, you will be taken to the page below:
Select the Basic plan by clicking the Get basic green box
5. You will then be taken to your Kahoot Dashboard. This page, will always be the first page you are taken to after logging in. You are now ready to get to quiz.
Playing the quiz
To play our Health and Safety or Customer service quiz, please click on the links below. Each link allows 10 people to play the quiz. If you select a link and there are no spaces left, please try the next link – We want as many people as possible to play the quizzes!

Questions
- There are 2 types of questions used in our quizzes
- True or false questions: For these questions, you are given a statement and have to select whether it is true or false.
- Quiz questions: For these questions, you will see a statement or a question and will then be given a choice of 4 answers. You’ll need to select the Correct answer for each question. Only one of the 4 answers given is correct
- Each question has a 20 second time limit, after which, if you have not selected an answer, your answer will be recorded as incorrect
- After answering a question you’ll need to press the next button that appears on screen.
- You will then be shown your place on the leader board; this feature lets you compare your progress to other players.
- Some quiz questions ask you to select a statement which is TRUE, others ask you to select a statement which is FALSE, so you’ll need to pay close attention!
- Each question is accompanied by an image. Sometimes the image contains a clue pointing to the correct answer, other times the image points you towards an incorrect answer. Again, you’ll have to make sure you are paying attention, good luck!
After playing the quiz, it would be really helpful if you can spare 5 minutes to complete a short feedback form. We’ll use the information collected on these forms to help us develop more training-based activities.
