Project summary

The deposit guarantee scheme helps people get into rented accommodation in the private rented sector. 

The scheme guarantees a deposit for eligible persons or households to encourage landlords to make accommodation available. This will secure your accommodation and give your landlord the peace of mind he or she needs to get your tenancy off to a good start.

The guarantee does not take the form of a cash payment.
