St Albans District Council Housing Options help
Project summary
If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness within 56 days, or if you are concerned about the stability of your accommodation and would like advice, then the Council may be able to provide you with assistance. If you would like to register for Homeless Assistance, then you will need to go to our dedicated Housing Options website, St Albans Home Choice.
If you are unable to obtain a loan in your own right then we may be able to refer you to the Credit Union to help with the deposit or rent in advance.

Applicants to whom the council owes a duty under the homelessness legislation.

Check with Housing Options to see what services are available to you.
How are referrals made
You will need to register on St Albans Home Choice, and once you have registered you will have the option to 'Register as Homeless'. You will be asked some basic questions, and this will notify the Housing Options Team of your situation. They will then contact you to discuss your situation further.
