Kirklees Council - Bond Guarantee Scheme
Project summary
If you want to rent a property in the private sector, and you can't afford the bond, you may be eligible for the bond guarantee scheme. The council provides a guarantee to the landlord, instead of a cash deposit, which covers damage/rent arrears up to the maximum value of the bond.

Who is eligible?
To be eligible for a bond guarantee you should be:-
- Homeless or threatened with homelessness
- On a low income or on benefits with little savings
- Able to maintain a tenancy
- Have a local connection to the area
- Have a priority need under homelessness legislation
