Happy Volunteers' Week 2024

Natalie Rebecchi, Volunteering Partner

This month, from Monday 3 to Sunday 9 June, we will be celebrating our incredible Crisis volunteer community; so, take some time out and read on to learn more about this special week...

What is Volunteers’ Week?

Volunteers’ Week is all about volunteers and the special work they do throughout our communities across the UK. This year is particularly noteworthy as we are marking 40 years of Volunteers’ Week.

This is a chance to really reflect, celebrate and inspire. Volunteers’ Week allows us as an organisation to acknowledge what a crucial contribution volunteers make to the work that Crisis does in our day-to-day service delivery, e-commerce, retail, fundraising, within central teams and with Crisis at Christmas.

The hard work and commitment of our volunteers supports Crisis to change people's lives and ultimately, to end homelessness.

Volunteers’ Week gives us an opportunity to understand a little more about volunteering, the people involved and how we and our teams might be able to benefit from working with a volunteer.

You can learn more about what's going on nationally by checking out the official Volunteers’ Week website.

And what better way to commemorate 40 years of Volunteers’ Week than by joining our community of volunteers all working together to end homelessness by applying to volunteer in one of our charity shops.
