Help with a safe place to stay
No one should be homeless and alone this Christmas. In the 50th year of Crisis at Christmas we have launched a new film, Twelve Nights, which lays bare the brutal reality for the many people who will be experiencing homelessness this Christmas. Flipping the well-known ’Twelve Days of Christmas’ song on its head, our film highlights the very real and devastating experiences of people facing homelessness at Christmas time and, crucially, how Crisis can help.
Follow six characters’ journeys from being forced to sleep on the streets, sleeping on sofas and public transport, to taking their first steps out of homelessness with the support of Crisis. After arriving at Crisis, the characters are able to access vital services, are provided with companionship and can connect to Crisis’ year-round support to help them out of homelessness and leave it behind for good. All of this support is available through Crisis’ Christmas services.
A huge thank you to Chris Martin, Dina Asher-Smith, Ellie Goulding, Emma Thompson, Nihal Arthanayake and Will Poulter for lending their voices to the film.
