I was 37 years old when I came. I worked very hard and applied for asylum. I didn't realise my documents would take so long to come through. I was sleeping on peoples sofas and kept having to move. I am crying with joy because of Crisis and how they helped me. They referred me to an immigration adviser and my NRPF condition was overturned. I was provided with temporary accommodation. From there, Crisis helped move me into social housing. Thanks to you all, I am here on my own tenancy and I am still alive.— Carolina
