Furniture from Crisis began by selling individual vintage items in Shop from Crisis stores. We developed to offer a wider selection of products which are suitable for businesses and commercial enterprises. In addition, we offered a full design and installation service to support the needs of our partners.
'Furniture from Crisis' profits directly supported our mission to end homelessness for good.
Working to your office, commercial, residential or retail interior design brief, we sourced unique sustainable items and materials to create, deliver, and install upcycled furniture. We do the hard work, so you don’t have to.
Potentially recyclable items were ethically sourced from within the UK by our dedicated team, they were then upcycled by our members within our workshop in the North West of England. Items with a ‘history’, that are functional and built to last.
By purchasing these items, our customers helped to reduce old pieces going into landfill and are demonstrating commitment to a responsible supply chain.
Profits from this venture helped us continue to support our members experiencing homelessness through professional training in furniture upcycling and restoration. This creative opportunity helped people to build confidence, and increase employment opportunities, whilst improving physical and mental health and supporting people to leave homelessness behind.
It is well documented that brands that are ethical and benefit wider society are more attractive to consumers, shareholders and employees.
Moreover, because we sourced items from within the UK, there were limited transportation costs. We delivered an end-to-end solution from design to implementation.
