"As part of my Pilates community, we host a members' party at a local clubhouse with food and DJ. Most of our money raised comes from our Big Raffle where members have donated gifts that we make into hampers and also from local businesses. This year we also did an auction on some of the higher-value gifts that were donated to boost the fund.

"It's a lot of planning and you worry in case you don't get the numbers in, but it has always been a success. We've been doing the parties since 2019.

"We started raising money for Crisis in 2017 because we wanted to give something back to people less fortunate than us, they all have a story to tell, trauma, loss etc. and they too deserve help, support and a life.

"We feel privileged to be able to have fun, whilst so many others can’t. But it's a heart-warming feeling knowing that you are playing a small part in helping someone in need."
