Cadence's Christmas fundraiser for Crisis 🎄

From Christmas crafts to festive bake sales, every year Crisis supporters up and down the country do incredible things to make a difference for people experiencing homelessness.

We love seeing the creative ways our supporters choose to fundraise, and we're especially inspired by our young supporters who are passionate about ending homelessness.

Today we're celebrating our supporter star, 7 year old Cadence, who decided she wanted to help people experiencing homelessness this Christmas. With help from her mum, she designed and made Christmas cards and sold them for £1 each. She's also been baking up tasty gingerbread treats to sell to neighbours and at her Brownie group. Cadence is doing an amazing job by raising money for Crisis, but also by spreading the word about what we do and how we support people.

In Cadence's own words:

"I wanted to help some people at Christmas as it makes me feel sad when I see some people not having warm houses and warm beds to sleep in or having a Christmas dinner. I made 100 home-made Christmas cards with my Mum which I sold to friends and family and we made 350 gingerbread men which we sold at school, Brownies and at some of my sports activities. Everyone was kind and generous and it has made me feel happy to help a few people in a tiny way this Christmas"

7 year old Cadence smiles at the camera in a Crisis t-shirt, holding a tin of homemade gingerbread men.

A huge thank you to Cadence and everyone else fundraising for Crisis this Christmas - you're all stars! ⭐
