Icebreaker Tooting
Crisis Icebreaker is our cold water challenge to help end homelessness. Either join the Crisis team at a local event or create your own chilly challenge, from a dip a day in your favourite swimming spot, a cold shower to an ice-filled paddling pool!
Take part in the ultimate cold water challenge at Crisis Icebreaker Tooting.
In 2025, Crisis Icebreaker at Tooting Bec Lido will once again be hosted alongside The SLSC UK Cold Water Swimming Championships organised by Crisis supporters, the South London Swimming Club.
Amongst the buzz of the championship heats, local stalls, and refreshments, take a cold plunge into the unheated lido for Crisis and push out of your comfort zone to help end homelessness.
The icy dip for Crisis will kick off the Championships at 9am. You can walk through the shallow end, ease your shoulders under or swim across the width of the pool. Afterwards, you're invited to spectate the heats and enjoy the hot tubs!
Your support will provide access to Crisis’ year-round services that can help transform lives and end homelessness for good.
If you'd like to sign up to the UKCWSC in addition to your dip for Crisis, please visit their website for more information.
Want to take part as a group?
We think facing the freeze at Crisis Icebreaker is a great way to spend a Saturday morning with friends and family. It is also a unique team-bonding experience with colleagues, and Crisis team members will be joining in too. You will be able to get into the water together and fundraise as a group if you prefer, but you'll need to sign up individually so we know you're taking part.
For corporate groups, groups who wish to pay together, create a bespoke challenge or for general enquiries, please send us an email at swim@crisis.org.uk.
