Icebreaker Swansea

Crisis Icebreaker is our cold water challenge to help end homelessness. Either join the Crisis team at a local event or create your own chilly challenge; from a dip a day in your favourite outdoor swimming spot, braving a freezing shower to dunking into an ice-filled paddling pool.

Take part in the ultimate cold water challenge at Crisis Icebreaker Swansea.

Face the freeze at one of Gower’s glorious beaches and push out of your comfort zone to help end homelessness. Paddle in the shallow waves or go all out and take the plunge in the deeper waters – you decide!

Your support will provide people facing homelessness with access to Crisis’ year-round services that can help transform lives and end homelessness for good.

What to expect on the day:

  • Registration and briefing at the Surfability Centre.
  • Wet suits and change facilities available on site, including a free hot drink post-swim.
  • Prizes for best dressed, most enthusiastic and highest fundraiser.
  • Lifeguards and Crisis team on hand for support and to cheer you on!

Want to take part as a group?

We think facing the freeze at Crisis Icebreaker is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and family. It is also a unique team-bonding experience with colleagues, and Crisis team members will be joining in too. You will be able to get into the water together and fundraise as a group if you prefer, but you'll need to sign up individually, so we know you're taking part.

For corporate groups, groups who wish to pay together, create a bespoke challenge or for general enquiries, please send us an email ali.discombe@crisis.org.uk.
