Icebreaker Parliament Hill

Crisis Icebreaker is our cold water challenge to help end homelessness. Either join the Crisis team at a local event or create your own chilly challenge; from a dip a day in your favourite outdoor swimming spot, braving a freezing shower to dunking into an ice-filled paddling pool.

Take part in the ultimate cold water challenge at Crisis Icebreaker Parliament Hill.

Face the freeze of the unheated lido and push out of your comfort zone to help end homelessness. The swim will start in the shallow end of the 60m pool, with options to use to handrails at 20m or 40m for a shorter distance.

Your support will provide access to Crisis’ year-round services that can help transform lives and end homelessness for good.

What to expect on the day:

  • Crisis supporter, Volcano Coffee will be dropping by with their coffee cart, ready to give a free hot drink to everyone who takes part
  • Raffle, and a prize for best fancy dress
  • Lifeguards and Crisis team on hand for support and to cheer you on!

Want to take part as a group?

We think facing the freeze at Crisis Icebreaker is a great way to spend a Saturday morning with friends and family. It is also a unique team-bonding experience with colleagues, and Crisis team members will be joining in too. You will be able to get into the water together and fundraise as a group if you prefer, but you'll need to sign up individually so we know you're taking part.

For corporate groups, groups who wish to pay together, create a bespoke challenge or for general enquiries, please send us an email at swim@crisis.org.uk.
