Icebreaker Brockwell

Crisis Icebreaker is our cold water challenge to help end homelessness. Either join the Crisis team at a local event or create your own chilly challenge; from a dip a day in your favourite outdoor swimming spot, braving a freezing shower to dunking into an ice-filled paddling pool.

Swap your festive meet-up with friends or colleagues for a chilly challenge in December and join us at Brockwell Lido for a festive edition of Crisis Icebreaker. Get sponsored to swim across the unheated lido, you’ll get your own Crisis swim hat, and the on-site café, 400 Rabbits, will be ready with hot drinks to warm you up afterwards.    

Your support will provide access to Crisis’ year-round services that can help transform lives and end homelessness for good.   

What to expect on the day:

• On site café, 400 Rabbits will be providing a free hot drink to everyone who takes part
• Raffle with the chance to win multiple prizes, including a Liberty beauty advent calendar(worth £1,205)
• Prize for best fancy dress judged by the brilliant Lido Ladies
• Lifeguards and Crisis team on hand for support and to cheer you on! 
• We will be accepting specific clothing donations for Crisis at Christmas – the information on accepted items will be emailed after sign up

Want to take part as a group? 

We think facing the freeze at Crisis Icebreaker is a great way to spend a Saturday morning with friends and family. It is also a unique team-bonding experience with colleagues, and Crisis team members will be joining in too. You will be able to get into the water together and fundraise as a group if you prefer, but you'll need to sign up individually so we know you're taking part.
