In the 20 years since we launched the Crisis "Skylight" model and the first training centre opened, the picture of homelessness has dramatically changed. The pressures that cause it are more complicated, with people experiencing multiple and complex needs that can make it challenging to get the help they desperately need.
With your support, we aim to create a pioneering Skylight centre - with the potential to serve people facing homelessness effectively - in both the range and quality of support.
The new London Skylight will be a blueprint project for the rest of our Skylight centres across England, Wales and Scotland. It is carefully configured to offer dignity, privacy, a place to recover from the trauma of homelessness. It will also be able to demonstrate the urgency around homelessness and influence Westminster policies to benefit people across the UK.
Homelessness is devastating, dangerous and isolating. We refuse to give up fighting to end this injustice. With your support, you can help us build a landmark centre to end homelessness for good. - Tania Marsh, Director of Crisis Skylight London
I was 37 years old when I came. I worked very hard and applied for asylum. I didn't realise my documents would take so long to come through. I was sleeping on peoples sofas and kept having to move. I am crying with joy because of Crisis and how they helped me. They referred me to an immigration adviser and my NRPF condition was overturned. I was provided with temporary accommodation. From there, Crisis helped move me into social housing. Thanks to you all, I am here on my own tenancy and I am still alive.— Carolina
Carolina now has her own council flat in South London and is very happy.

In the unlikely event that if more funds are raised from this appeal than are required for the refurbishment of the Skylight, we will use the funds to support our work wherever it is needed most to help people facing homelessness.
