In September, our long-standing corporate partner John Frieda provided free haircuts and a creative arts workshop for members of Crisis Skylight London.
The group of five members enjoyed breakfast and a pampering session at the Kao Salon Academy in central London, leaving the salon feeling confident and refreshed.
We then headed to John Frieda's head office on the Strand for a creative arts workshop. The aim was to create artwork in support of the John Frieda Volume Lift shampoo and conditioner range relaunch: these limited edition products hit shelves in October to raise vital funds and awareness for Crisis, with 50p from every product sold donated in support of our work to end homelessness.
The group of members spent the afternoon creating original still-life, landscape and abstract paintings to support the campaign, which have been produced into professional standard mailers as part of the press activity around the Volume Lift launch.
The members were also provided with gift bags of John Frieda haircare products to take away with them as a thank you for their incredible contribution to the partnership.
The day was a huge hit with the members, who said:
"Today was a brilliant day, I enjoyed every bit of it, the meals, the art, the togetherness, the spirit - it was just brilliant and I appreciate it so much. Thank you!"
"Revitalising and replenishing, a needed pick-me-up for every single one of us. Massively appreciated, thank you!"
A huge thank you to John Frieda for your support for our work to end homelessness over the past two years. If you are interested in learning more about the partnership, please email corporatepartnerships@crisis.org.uk
