Member Exhibiton Trip

Last week, staff and members who are part of our art and creative classes visited a local art exhibition called 'Come As You Are' by Hetain Patel. The installation featured thousands of objects created, modified or collected by hobbyists across the UK, shown alongside a new artist film. Each hobby represents a decision to commit valuable time to living life on one's own terms in a society dominated by consumerism.

Our members loved it and found it really interesting. It was great to get people out of the Skylight and in to something a bit different as well as providing lots of inspiration for future art projects.

The exhibition has been running for several months in Croydon, and it is wonderful to have something like this on our doorstep and be able to share experiences like this with our members too.
