Project summary

Every year we help hundreds of people facing eviction and homelessness into secure housing through the provision of loans to cover the cost of landlords’ deposits and advance rent.

We also provide one-off grants to buy essential items for a new home, and for emergency accommodation for ex-offenders from HMP Lewes who have nowhere to go on release.

Clients

Who is eligible?

You must be:- Homeless or threatened with homelessness; Be seeking accommodation in the Lewes District; Be on low income or receiving Benefit and not having enough savings or assets; Be able to demonstrate that you can live independently and manage your finances.

How are referrals made

Referred by the Housing Needs Team at Lewes District Council however there may be other routes for help via support workers at other organisations.
