Project summary

Our Find Your Own Home scheme is for people Enfield Council has accepted a housing duty towards. It gives them the opportunity to secure a suitable, affordable private rental home of their choice.

Clients

Who is eligible?

You are eligible if you meet all the criteria below:-

• You are living in Enfield and we have accepted a housing duty towards you
• You have found a private rental property that you like
• You are in receipt of Housing Benefit or Universal Credit
• You believe you can afford the rent, but need financial help with upfront costs like a deposit or rent in advance
• The property of your choice passes checks that it is safe and that you can afford to rent it.

Client services

• Tenancy Sustainment
• One month's rent paid in advance
• One month's deposit (or an incentive paid directly to the landlord)
• Rent negotiation and document checking

How are referrals made

If you have found a suitable private rental property speak to your caseworker

The Landlord Incentive Scheme offers one month’s rent paid in advance and one month’s deposit (or an incentive paid
