Locate - Durham housing services

Project summary

The housing advice service provides help with a range of housing issues from landlord disputes to homelessness.  There is also a Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness so they can access private rental properties.

Clients

Who is eligible?

You must be:-

• 16 and over,
• homeless or at risk of homelessness
• Live within the boundaries of areas (Chester-le-Street; Derwentside; Durham; Easington; Sedgefield; Teesdale & Wear Valley)

Client services

Help to prevent homelessness

• help to find a home
• free impartial advice and support
• initial assessment of housing and wider needs
• signposting, self help and guidance
• in individual housing options action plan
• rent deposit guarantee scheme
