Central Bedfordshire - Let's Rent Scheme
Project summary
The Let's Rent Scheme can pay up to 6 weeks' rent deposit to households in need of private rented accommodation. An interest-free loan can also be offered to pay any rent in advance requests.
Clients
Who is eligible?
Anyone with a local connection to Central Bedfordshire who:
- is a UK citizen with recourse to public funds
- has been given notice to leave their present home or is homeless
- has been given notice to leave their present home or is homeless
- is able to afford the rent every month
- hasn't lost accommodation due to any anti-social behaviour orders, county court judgements (CCJs), or breach of tenancy agreement such as rent arrears or tenant conduct
- has payment plans in place for any outstanding debt

How are referrals made
To be accepted for Let’s Rent you will need to complete an application form and you will be asked to attend a Let’s Rent suitability interview.
