As a charity primarily funded by members of the public, Crisis is lucky to have supporters who will go to the ends of the earth for a cause they are passionate about; Denique planned to do just that in 2020, or rather to the top of the world! But when the pandemic hit, she had to put her plans on hold.
Fast forward to October 2022 and Denique has accomplished her goal of scaling Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, in support of Crisis. After a 10 hour trek through the night, she finally reached the peak at 10.45am on a sunny morning. She told us "It was by far the hardest 6 days of my life but also the most rewarding".
