CSB get Suited For Success

On 21 May 2019 a few members from Crisis Skylight Birmingham went to Suited For Success to be fitted for suits and smart clothing ahead of job interviews.

Suited For Success is a rather cool charity based in Ladywood, Birmingham. They provide FREE high-quality interview clothes, styling and interview preparation skills for unemployed men and women who have a confirmed job interview.

Our members were prepped by staff from Santander in interview skills.

One member found the experience "refreshing". One highlight was learning about the interview techniques and qualities in the work place. "Sometimes you forget the qualities you have so it was good to reaffirm my own qualities... It was a lovely experience... great for self esteem".

Once in his suit he commented that he "felt like Bob Hoskins in The Long Good Friday".

Another member who is hoping to go into nursing loved the fit and feel of the trouser suit she chose.

She told us that she "feels so overwhelmed by the help Crisis have given [her]" She couldn't believe she "was chosen to benefit from Suited for Success".
