No-one should be homeless. Your company can support someone to take their first steps out of homelessness by joining Connect for Crisis.

2021 has continued to be difficult for us all as we slowly emerge from the pandemic. The past year has continued to remind us how much we depend on each other for connection, hope and support in difficult times, and of the importance of a safe and secure home. Sadly, this Christmas, thousands of people will be alone, with nowhere to call home. And many will be experiencing their first Christmas homeless.

Crisis Communities

Housing

All people experiencing homelessness in Britain should be entitled to help, whatever their background.

We help homeless people find and keep a home. We do this by working with landlords to ensure a supply of places to live, and giving homeless people the tools and knowledge they need to rent successfully.

Housing solutions and actions for government are a core part of our strategy. Joining this community will enable you to find out more about this area of our work and how your business might be able to support.

Health and Wellbeing

Poor mental health is both a cause and consequence of homelessness. There is a higher rate of mental health problems amongst the homeless population than the general population.

Crisis specialist mental health workers support members to get access to health and social services and counselling. They also work with members to help improve their self-esteem, boosting their confidence to interact with others and form relationships.

Joining this community will enable you to find out more about this area of our work and how your business might be able to support.

Work and Learning

Our services have a strong track record of helping homeless people find and hold onto jobs. It can be a difficult journey for someone. We know that it takes time, funding and highly skilled staff who are sensitive to the hopes and needs of every person they’re working with.

We are also calling on the government to improve the support it provides to help homeless people find and hold onto jobs.

Joining this community will enable you to find out more about this area of our work and how your business might be able to support.

Digital inclusion

Most of us rely on digital technology every day, this has been no more evident than during the pandemic. Digital inclusion is essential for people experiencing homelessness, in our increasingly online lives.

We help our members increase their digital awareness, understanding and skills to feel more confident using digital technology and the internet. We offer tailored one-to-one digital coaching and support, to help people update their CVs, apply for jobs, access online courses, access for universal credit and complete housing applications, so that they can leave homelessness behind.

Joining this community will enable you to find out more about this area of our work and how your business might be able to improve digital inclusion for people facing homelessness.
